A process is disclosed for the separation and recovery of an unsaturated hydrocarbon from its mixture with at least one other material by the selective and reversible complexation of the unsaturated hydrocarbon using a single cubane-type cluster of palladium, molybdenum and sulfur as a complexation agent.

L'invention concerne un procédé qui permet de séparer et de récupérer un hydrocarbure insaturé à partir de son mélange avec au moins un autre matériau. Selon le procédé, on forme un complexe sélectif et réversible dudit hydrocarbure en utilisant comme agent formateur de complexe un seul édifice de type cubanite, constitué de palladium, de molybdène et de soufre.
