A coating composition is disclosed that comprises: (a) a copolymer comprising alternating units of a vinyl monomer and an unsaturated diester monomer in which at least one of the esterifying groups includes a hydroxyl group, and (b) a hydroxy group-reactive curing agent. The diester monomer is formed by first opening an anhydride with an alcohol to form a monoester, and then alkoxylating the remaining acid group on the monoester with an epoxy compound to form a second ester group having hydroxyl functionality.
Cette invention se rapporte à une composition de revêtement, qui comprend: (a) un copolymère contenant des unités alternées d'un monomère de vinyle et d'un monomère de diester insaturé, dans lesquelles au moins l'un des groupes estérifiants renferme un groupe hydroxyle; et (b) un agent durcissant réactif au groupe hydroxy. On forme le monomère de diester d'abord en ouvrant un anhydride avec un alcool, pour former un monoester, puis en alcoxylant le groupe acide restant sur le monoester avec un composé époxy, pour former un second groupe ester ayant une fonctionnalité hydroxyle.
