ABSTRACT Light-colored unsaturated polyester resins containing at least 2% by weight bromine can be prepared by using at least a portion of the glycol ingredient dibromo neopentyl glycol and by using from 5 to 85 mol percent of tetrahydro- phthalic acid or anhydride or endomethylene tetrahydro- phthalic acid or anhydride.
