ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Unsaturated polyester resin compositions (UPR) are disclosed as well as monomeric compounds of the formula: Image (I) where R, R1 and R2 are H or a methyl group. The compounds (I) are useful as accelerators and crosslinking agents in the preparation of the UPR's and a process for the preparation thereof is also disclosed.
