A method of segmenting objects in an image is described. The method applies a Top Hat algorithm to the image then constructs inner and outer markers for application to the original image in a Watershed algorithm. The inner marker is constructed using binary erosion. The outer marker is constructed using binary dilation and perimeterisation. The method finds particular application for first level segmentation of a cell nucleus prior to detailed analysis.
L'invention concerne un procédé de segmentation d'objets dans une image. Le procédé applique un algorithme top-hat à l'image et construit ensuite des balises d'entrée et de sortie en vue de les appliquer à l'image originale dans un algorithme du Watershed. La balise de sortie est construite au moyen de l'érosion binaire. La balise d'entrée est construite au moyen de la dilatation binaire et de la périmétrisation. Le procédé s'applique notamment à la première segmentation d'une analyse préalable à détaillée.
