A Universal Personal Electronic Device or UPED is the only piece of electronic equipment that a person will need to carry because within it are incorporated all functions and capabilities of all other separate electronic devices that they would use throughout the day. It combines as a matter of individual preference functions such as but not limited to cellular phone, a large amount of data storage, personal music player, internet browser, remote car door opening/control, home electronics control, home security, encrypted banking information for credit card replacement, RF interface to many other electronic devices such as TV, fridge, home computer, electronic books, their complete video, music and game library etc. In effect it is the only portable electronic device a person will require throughout their day. The various options can be selected and programmed by the user through various methods and often incorporates voice recognition for hands free dialling and operation of various device functions through verbal commands. The device is typically comprised of a wireless ear piece, that incorporates a microphone used to communicate with the base module that may be put in a pocket or purse, attached to a key chain, worn as a pendant or even worn as a wrist watch depending upon the scale of integration of the device.
