The invention concerns an upright vacuum cleaner (10) comprising a cleaning head portion (12) supporting an upright portion (11) which includes a collector for vacuumed detritus, the cleaning head portion being provided with wheel means (8) which allow the cleaner to be moved and directed over a floor surface by a user holding a handle (7) provided at an upper region of the upright portion, wherein a lower region of the upright portion is structurally attached to the cleaning head by a tubular conduit (30) in which air-entrained detritus can be conveyed from the cleaning head to the collector, and wherein the tubular conduit is provided with a swivelling connection in which a first tubular member (32) associated with the upright portion engages with a second tubular member (31) associated with the cleaning head portion, so that a male end of one of the tubular portions is seated co-axially in a female end of the other, and wherein the tubular portions are retained in engagement by an elongate flexible locking member (22) which is accommodated in an annular circumferential channel formed between the seated male and female portions, the channel being defined at least in part by raised or depressed constraint features (17,19).
L'invention concerne un aspirateur vertical (10) composé d'une partie tête de nettoyage (12) portant une partie verticale (11) qui comprend un collecteur des déchets aspirés, la partie tête de nettoyage étant équipée de moyens formant roues (8) qui permettent à un utilisateur tenant la poignée (7) de déplacer et de diriger l'aspirateur sur la surface du sol, la poignée étant montée dans une région supérieure de la partie verticale, une région inférieure de la partie verticale étant fixée structurellement à la tête de nettoyage par un conduit tubulaire (30) dans lequel les déchets aspirés peuvent être acheminés depuis la tête de nettoyage vers le collecteur, et ce conduit tubulaire comporte un raccord pivotant dans lequel un premier élément tubulaire (32) associé à la partie verticale est en prise avec un second élément tubulaire (31) associé à la partie tête de nettoyage, de façon à ce qu'une extrémité mâle de l'une des parties tubulaires s'insère de façon coaxiale dans une extrémité femelle de l'autre partie. Les parties tubulaires sont maintenues en prise par un élément de verrouillage flexible allongé (22) qui se loge dans un canal circonférentiel annulaire formé entre les parties mâle et femelle insérées l'une dans l'autre, ce canal étant défini au moins en partie par des caractéristiques de retenue en relief ou en creux (17,19).
