ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE As a curing catalyst of epoxy resins, superacid salts of an N, N'-di- or N, N', N'-trisubstituted urea are disclosed. The urea component is produced by reacting an organic isocyanate and a primary or secondary amine at least one of which is monofunctional. The catalyst is soluble in conventional organic solvents, well compatible with the epoxy resin and catalizes the cationic polymerization reaction of epoxy resins at room temperature.
