The present invention is directed to monomeric and polymeric compositions based upon polymeric urethane surfactants which are derived from linear, branched, or aromatic compounds of synthetic or natural origin, preferably from tertiary amines and diisocyanate compounds. The urethane polymers of the present invention may be in the form of betaines, quaternium salts, tertiary amine salts or N-oxides. The compounds of the present invention may be incorporated into personal care formulations such as cosmetics, dental care products and toiletries to improve at least one and preferably two or more characteristics of such formulations.
Cette invention a trait à des compositions polymères à base de tensioactifs polymères uréthannes dérivés de composés linéaires, ramifiés ou aromatiques, synthétiques ou naturels, de préférence, des composés d'amines tertiaires et de diisocyanate. Les polymères uréthannes selon cette invention peuvent se présenter sous la forme de bétaïnes, de sels quaternaires, de sels d'amine tertiaire ou de N-oxydes. On peut incorporer les composés selon cette invention à des formulations de soins d'hygiène personnelle, tels que des produits cosmétiques, des produits de soins dentaires et des articles de toilette et ce, afin d'améliorer au moins une et, de préférence, deux ou plusieurs propriétés de ces formulations.
