The invention provides an enzyme-based device and process for manufacture of the device in a shelf-stable form. The device consists of a dry phase test strip useful in detecting the presence and concentration of uric acid in a liquid sample (such as urine) and has a stabilized uricase-containing working solution impregnated therein. Methods for manufacturing the device to maintain the stability of the working solution, especially the enzyme components thereof, are also described. A method for making the uric acid measurement in one step is also provided, wherein the one step to be performed consists of applying the liquid sample to the test strip of the device.
L'invention concerne un dispositif à base d'enzymes et un procédé de fabrication du dispositif de longue conservation. Ce dispositif comprend une bande de test en phase sèche utile pour détecter la présence et la teneur en acide urique dans un échantillon liquide (comme par exemple l'urine) et présente une solution de travail contenant de l'uricase stabilisée imprégnée dans l'échantillon. L'invention concerne aussi des procédés de fabrication du dispositif permettant de conserver la stabilité de la solution de travail, plus particulièrement de ses composants enzymatiques. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé d'élaboration de la mesure de l'acide urique en une seule opération consistant à appliquer un échantillon liquide sur la bande de test du dispositif.
