There is described a uricosuric composi- tion comprising a quinazoline derivative of the formula Image wherein R1, R2 and R3 each is a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, as an active ingredient, which is used in association with a pharmaceutically acceptable, substantially non-toxic carrier or excipient. The composition is useful for excreting uric acid, for preventing and/or treating gout.
