The system & method for usage of electronically stored, dynamically up-dated physical location parameters of cellular-phone or similar Mobile Device 20 to inform/alert/announce to its subscriber about the location-dependent variable timings of five-times-daily Islamic prayers called Salaat (Arabic) or Namaaz (Urdu). The alert/information can be through textual message or through formal vocal announcement called Azaan . The system allows the Azaan~time-deciding- algorithm 85 to be stored on the Mobile Device 20 or on some remotely~connected Web-server based Azaan Software Application 40, and the actual calculation may either be done dynamically just before the announcement, or the timings may be looked-up from pre-calculated location- specific look-up tables 80. The system further allows the location variables to be stored-on/retrieved-from the hand-held-mobile-device 20, itself or on some other remotely-connected computer called location-server 30. The format/accuracy of location parameters varies with the network-providers, but CELL-ID is the commonly used parameter by all cellular network technologies which rely on Cellular Base Station 25 for connectivity to the Mobile Device 20. However other location-describing formats like TA, EFLT, GPS, AGPS, TDOA, AOA, AFLT, EOTD, etc. may also be used to calculate and/or announce the Azaan~timings. The system further allows transmittal of highly personalized notification to individual subscribers by storing personal preferences in a Subscribers Database 70 which is accessible to the Azaan-Software application 40 which employs the algorithm for dynamic notification 85, and thus personal preferences for different juristic methods, and selected modes of announcements can be accommodated.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant d'utiliser des paramètres d'emplacement physique, stockés, mis à jour de manière dynamique d'un téléphone cellulaire ou d'un dispositif mobile (20) similaire afin d'informer/d'alerter/d'annoncer à l'abonné les horaires variables en fonction de sa localisation des cinq prières islamiques quotidiennes appelées Salaat (arabe) ou Namaaz (ourdou). L'alerte/information peut être envoyée par message texte ou par annonce vocale formelle appelée Azaan. Le système de l'invention permet à un algorithme de décision d'horaire de Azaan (85) d'être stocké sur le dispositif mobile (20) ou sur une application logicielle Azaan (40) fondée sur un serveur Web connecté à distance, et le calcul réel peut être effectué de manière dynamique juste avant l'annonce, ou les horaires peuvent être recherchés dans des tables de recherche spécifiques de localisation pré-calculées (80). Le système permet en outre aux variables de localisation d'être stockées dans le dispositif mobile (20) même ou extraites de ce dernier ou sur un autre ordinateur connecté à distance appelé serveur de localisation (30). Le format/la précision des paramètres de localisation varie en fonction des fournisseurs de réseau, le CELL-ID étant cependant le paramètre le plus communément utilisé par toutes les technologies de réseau cellulaire fondées sur une station de base cellulaire (25) permettant une connectivité au dispositif mobile (20). D'autres formats de description de localisation de type TA, EFLT, GPS, AGPS, TDOA, AOA, AFLT, EOTD, etc. peuvent également servir à calculer et/ou à annoncer les horaires de Azaan. Le système permet en outre de transmettre une notification hautement personnalisée à des abonnés individuels par stockage de préférences personnelles dans une base de données d'abonnés (70) accessible par l'application logicielle Azaan (40) qui emploie l'algorithme pour une notification dynamique (85), des préférences personnelles pour différents procédés juridiques et des modes sélectionnés d'annonces pouvant ainsi être adaptés.
