The invention relates to a compound having formula (I), wherein: X = O or group = N-OH; R represents a group selected from R1, R2, R3, R4, R6, R5; A = hydrogen or, together with B, a carbon-carbon linkage; B = hydrogen, hydroxy or, together with A, a carbon-carbon linkage; and C, D, E, F = hydrogen or, together with D, a carbon-carbon linkage, or to one of the addition salts thereof with pharmaceutically-acceptable acids, excluding several compounds. The invention relates to the use of same as a medicament, in particular as a neuroprotector. The invention also relates to novel compounds having general formula (I) and pharmaceutical compositions.
