The invention relates to the use, as a thickening agent, of an aqueous solution particularly rich in salts of a water-soluble or alkali-soluble copolymer comprising (in weight): a) 30% to 45% of (meth)acrylic acid; b) 50% to 60% of acrylamide and/or N-methylol and/or an acrylic ester; c) 2% to 10% of a hydrophobic monomer of the formula R1 - (R2O)m R3, where R1 is a polymerizable unsaturated function, R2O is an alkylene oxide group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, m is an integer between 20 and 50, R3 is a linear alkyl chain including at least 16 and at most 26 carbon atoms; d) 0.1% to 4% of at least one cross-linking agent that preferably consists of ethyleneglycoldimethacrylate (EDMA).

L'invention consiste en l'utilisation, comme agent épaississant d'une formulation aqueuse notamment riche en sels, d'un copolymère hydrosoluble ou alcali-soluble constitué de (en poids) a) 30 % à 45 % d'acide (méth)acrylique, b) 50 % à 60 % d'acrylamide et/ou de N-méthylol et/ou d'un ester acrylique, c) 2 % à 10 % d'un monomère hydrophobe de formule R1 - (R20)m R3, OU - R1 désigne une fonction insaturée polymérisable, R20 désigne un groupe d'oxyde d'alkylène ayant de 1 à 6 atomes de carbone, m est un entier compris entre 20 et 50, - R3 désigne une chaîne alkyle linéaire comportant au moins 16 et au plus 26 atomes de carbone, d) 0,1 % à 4 % d'au moins un réticulant qui est préférentiellement 1' éthy leneglycoldiméthacry late (E D M A)
