Abstract of the Invention Polyester resins, comprising the polymerized residues of dibasic acids and diols, dibasic anhydrides and diols, and the lower alkyl esters of dibasic acids and diols, are soluble up to 40% by weight of solids in 1,3-dioxacyclopentane, and blends of 1,3-dioxacyclopentane with other relatively nontoxic solvents.
