Proposed is the use, as light-protection agents and stabilizers for non-living organic material, of 3-arylacrylic acid esters (I) in which Ar is an aryl group, which may carry additional substituents, R1 is an n-valency aliphatic polyol group with up to 20 C-atoms, whereby the carbon chain may be interrupted by up to 9 non-adjacent oxygen atoms, or an n-valency cycloaliphatic polyol group with 5 to 20 C-atoms in which non-adjacent ring carbon atoms may be replaced by oxygen atoms, R2 and R3 are hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl and n is a number from 1 to 10.
L'invention concerne l'utilisation, comme agents de protection contre la lumière et comme stabilisants pour un matériau organique non vivant, d'esters de l'acide 3-arylacrylique de la formule (I). Dans cette formule, Ar est un groupe aryle, qui peut porter des substituants additionnels, R?1¿ est un polyol aliphatique à n valences avec jusqu'à 20 atomes de carbone, dans lequel la chaîne hydrocarbonée peut être interrompue par jusqu'à 9 atomes d'oxygène non adjacents, ou un groupe polyol cycloaliphatique à n valences ayant de 5 à 20 atomes de carbone dans lequel des atomes de carbone du cycle non voisins peuvent également être remplacés par des atomes d'oxygène, R?2¿ et R?3¿ sont des hydrogènes ou des alkyles C¿1?-C¿4? et n est un nombre pouvant aller de 1 à 10.
