The invention relates the use of a material having a spinel ferrite/iron monoxide structure as a sensitive material in the form of a thin film for the bolometric detection of infrared radiation, the chemical composition of said structure, excluding doping agents that may be present, having empirical formula (I): (Fe1- zM z) xO, where x is strictly less than 1 and strictly greater than 0.75. The invention also relates to a bolometric device for infrared radiation detection and infrared imaging, comprising at least one sensor provided with a sensitive element in the form of a thin film as defined above.
La présente invention concerne l'utilisation comme matériau sensible en couche mince pour la détection bolométrique de radiations infrarouges, d'un matériau ayant une structure de monoxyde de fer/ferrite spinelle dont la composition chimique, en dehors d'agents dopants éventuellement présents, répond à la formule brute (I) : (Fe 1- zM z) xO avec x strictement inférieur à 1 et strictement supérieur à 0,75.Elle vise également un dispositif bolométrique pour la détection d'un rayonnement infrarouge ou pour l'imagerie infrarouge, comprenant au moins un capteur muni d'un élément sensible ayant la forme d'une couche mince telle que définie ci-dessus.
