There is disclosed the use of triprolidine for enabling an individual to wake refreshed after sleep and the method of treating such an individual with triprolidine. Use of triprolidine as active ingredient in the manufacture of a composition for the treatment of sleep disorders is also described. A method of treating sleep of a person suffering from a sleep disorder, which method comprises administration of an effective dose of triprolidine as active ingredient to such a person is also described. The triprolidine is administered shortly before a person wishes to fall asleep, preferably orally and most commonly in the form of a tablet containing up to 20 mg, e.g. 0.1 mg, 1.25 mg or 2.5 mg, of the active ingredient. The triprolidine is also effective in enabling an individual to sleep more easily.
La présente invention concerne, d'une part l'utilisation de triprolidine pour permettre à un individu de se réveiller l'esprit clair après le sommeil, et d'autre part un procédé permettant de traiter un individu avec la triprolidine. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation de la triprolidine comme principe actif pour la fabrication d'une composition destinée à traiter des troubles du sommeil. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé permettant de traiter le sommeil d'une personne souffrant d'un trouble du sommeil, ce procédé impliquant l'administration d'une dose posologique efficace de triprolidine comme principe actif à une telle personne. La triprolidine s'administre peu de temps avant le moment où la personne souhaite s'endormir, de préférence par voie orale, et le plus fréquemment sous forme d'un comprimé contenant jusqu'à 20 mg, notamment, 0,1 mg, 1,25 mg, 2,5 mg, de principe actif. La triprolidine convient également pour permettre à un individu de s'endormir plus facilement.
