20337-400 ABSTRACT The present invention relates to the use of a pressure fitting with a beaded end that contains a sealing ring, for the production of a non-releasable connection between thin-walled pipes that are connected when cold by means of a pressing tool so as to form a shape-locking and force-locking fit with the pressure fitting, with the provision that the seamless or welded pipes and the pressure fittings consist of a copper-nickel-wrought alloy, especially when used for moving sea water and all kinds of indus- trial water in installation technology and in equipment construc- tion, the pipes having an outside diameter in the range from 10 to 100 mm and a wall thickness in the range from 0.5 to 3.0 mm, and at least the area of the pressure fitting that contains the sealing ring being pressed to the pipe.
