The invention relates to the use of topical formulations containing epidermal growth factor which is encapsulated or associated with standard or deformable liposomes, which are intended to be applied to and around chronic ischemic skin lesions. The inventive formulations, in contrast to the prior art, are useful in that they enable a high bioavailability of the epidermal growth factor in the deep tissue below the lesion and for preventing diabetic foot amputation.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation de formulations topiques qui contiennent le facteur de croissance épidermique encapsulé ou associé aux liposomes déformables ou conventionnels pour être appliquées sur la surface et autour de lésions cutanées ischémiques chroniques. Les formulations selon l'invention, contrairement à l'état de la technique, sont utiles car elles permettent d'obtenir une biodisponibilité élevée du facteur de croissance épidermique dans le tissu profond sous la lésion et pour prévenir l'amputation du pied diabétique.
