The invention concerns the use of transverse-flux machine with the following features in a single-wheel drive, with an outer stator comprising a multiplicity of outer-stator soft-iron elements, which are essentially arranged with uniform separation relative to one another, with an inner stator, comprising a multiplicity of inner-stator soft-iron elements. The inner stator comprises at least one armature coil, with a rotor, which - viewed in a section perpendicular to the axis - is constructed of alternating magnets and soft-iron elements. The outer stator is free of armature coils, the outer-stator soft-iron elements are arranged in such a way that at least one region (gap) is provided on the outer stator with an intermediate space between two adjacent stator soft-iron elements that is larger than the immediate space caused by the separation. Means for compensating the magnetic and effects at least indirectly are assigned to the region, whereby regions provided on the outer stator with the intermediate space between adjacent stator soft-iron elements that is larger than that produced by the separation are utilized as available structural space for parts of the other components assigned to the wheel.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'un moteur linéaire à flux transversal entraînant une roue motrice et comprenant les caractéristiques suivantes : un stator externe comprenant une série d'éléments de fer doux essentiellement disposés de façon à être séparés également les uns relativement aux autres et un stator interne comportant une série d'éléments de fer doux. Le stator interne comprend au moins une bobine d'armature avec rotor qui, lorsque vue dans un plan perpendiculaire à l'axe, est construite avec en alternance des aimants et des éléments de fer doux. Le stator externe ne comprend aucune bobine d'armature; ses éléments de fer doux sont disposés de telle façon qu'au moins un écartement (espace) est prévu sur le stator externe avec un espace intermédiaire, entre deux éléments de fer doux avoisinants, qui est plus grand que l'intervalle de séparation. Des éléments pour compenser les effets magnétiques, du moins indirectement, sont assignés à l'écartement, tandis que les écartements prévus sur le stator externe, avec l'espace intermédiaire entre deux éléments de fer doux avoisinants plus grand que l'intervalle de séparation, servent d'espaces structuraux libres pour des parties des autres composants assignés à la roue.
