The present invention relates to the use of a vulcanised thermoplastic elastomer or styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene polymer (SEBS) as infill material in artificial turf systems. Artificial turf has achieved growing popularity in recent years, particulary for football fields. The vulcanised thermoplastic elastomer comprises a polyolefin and a rubber wherein the rubber is dynamically vulcanised by the use of a curing agent. The polyolefin is chosen from polyethylene or polypropylene and the rubber is chosen from EPDM or EPM. The rubber is dynamically vulcanised by a curing agent chosen from sulfur, sulfurous compounds, metal oxides, maleimides, phenol resins, silanes or peroxides.

Utilisation d'un élastomère thermoplastique vulcanisé ou d'un polymère styrène-éthylène-butadiène-styrène (SEBS) en tant que matière de charge dans des systèmes de gazon artificiel. Le gazon artificiel a connu un succès croissant ces dernières années, en particulier pour des terrains de football. L'élastomère thermoplastique vulcanisé contient une polyoléfine et un caoutchouc, le caoutchouc étant dynamiquement vulcanisé à l'aide d'un agent de vulcanisation. La polyoléfine est choisie parmi le polyéthylène ou le polypropylène et le caoutchouc est choisi parmi EPDM ou EPM. Le caoutchouc est dynamiquement vulcanisé par un agent de vulcanisation choisi parmi le soufre, des composés sulfureux, des oxydes métalliques, des maléimides, des résines phénoliques, des silanes ou des peroxydes.
