ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to the use of acrylic acid/ethyl acrylate copolymers as a liquid laundry detergent additive. Incorporating from about 0.5 to about 5 weight percent of an acrylic acid/ethyl acrylate copolymer into a liquid detergent formulation provides enhanced performance on the clay soil removal properties of the detergent. Particularly useful are copolymers containing as polymerized units from 70 to 98 percent by weight acrylic acid and 2 to 30 percent by weight ethyl acrylate.
