ABSTRACT An aqueous polybutadiene dispersion is disclosed for use as an adhesive intermediate layer in producing polyamide coatings on metallic sub- strates. The polybutadiene has a dynamic viscosity of 70 to 30000 and a configuration of 40 to 95% cis-1,4-, 0 to 30% trans-1,4- and 1 to 60% of 1,2-units. The coated products exhibit improved adhesion and lack of under-corrosion.
