ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE To supplement mixed feeds with methionine aqueous sodium-or potassium-methioninate solutions are used instead of solid DL-methionine. As compared with solid methionine these solutions can be closed more easily and they are more readily miscible with the other components of mixed feeds. When applied in equimolar amounts they have the same methionine effect as solid methionine.
