ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of adding the high intensity sweetener thaumatin to chewing gum ingredients via an aqueous solution. The method comprises of adding, in any suitable manner, to chewing gum ingredients an aqueous solution of thaumatin consisting of thaumatin, distilled water and any preservative--preferably glycerin or propylene glycol.
