The invention relates to the use of azithromycin for the industrial production of a medicament for treatment of ocular infections, essentially comprising azithromycin in solution in a pharmaceutically-acceptable medium of medium length straight-chain fatty acid triglycerides at a concentration of 1 to 2 %, for application twice a day by topical route in each eye for at least four days.

L'invention a pour objet l'utilisation de l'azithromycine pour la fabrication industrielle d'un médicament de traitement des infections oculaires, essentiellement constitué d'azithromycine en solution dans un véhicule pharmaceutiquement acceptable de triglycérides d'acides gras à chaîne linéaire de longueur moyenne à la concentration de 1 à 2 %, pour application deux fois par jour par voie topique dans chaque oeil à traiter pendant moins de quatre jours.
