DEVELOPMENT RESTRAINER PRECURSORS FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC ELEMENTS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Photographic elements, assemblages and processes for color diffusion transfer photography are described wherein certain azole compounds having at least two nitrogen atoms are employed as development restrainer precursors. Preferred azole compounds include benzotriazoles, triazoles, tetrazoles, indazoles and benzimidazoles. The azole com- pounds have an alkali-hydrolyzable, N,N-disubstituted carbamoyl group on one of the two nitrogen atoms.
