The invention relates to the use of betuline as a filler in paper or board, and to a method for producing paper or board. According to the invention, an aqueous slurry is made of betuline, followed by the addition of said slurry to the pulp during the production of paper or board, and removal of water from the paper web, and then the production of paper or board is continued in a conventional manner.

L'invention se rapporte à l'utilisation de la bétuline en tant qu'agent de charge pour papier et carton et à un procédé de fabrication de papier ou de carton. Selon l'invention, une suspension aqueuse est faite de bétuline; cette suspension est ensuite ajoutée à la pulpe pendant la fabrication de papier ou de carton; l'eau est ensuite évacuée de la bande de papier, après quoi la fabrication de papier ou de carton est réalisée de façon traditionnelle.
