A method for the treatment of angiogenesis in a patient in need of such treatment, e.g. a tumour patient or a patient suffering from an inflammatory disease, which comprises administering, preferably via an intra-arterial route, an effective amount of a bisphosphonate, e.g. pamidronic acid or zoledronic acid or salts or hydrates thereof, to the patient.

L'invention concerne une méthode permettant de traiter l'angiogenèse chez un patient nécessitant un tel traitement, ce patient pouvant par exemple être atteint d'une tumeur ou souffrir d'une maladie inflammatoire. Cette méthode consiste notamment à administrer audit patient, de préférence par voie intra-artérielle, une quantité efficace d'un bisphosphonate, par exemple de l'acide pamidronique ou zolédronique, ou des sels ou des hydrates de ceux-ci.
