An improved papermaking process comprising forming an aqueous cellulosic papermaking slurry and adding a blend of a water-soluble dispersion polymer and a coagulant to the slurry to increase retention and/or drainage is disclosed. After addition of the polymers, the slurry is drained to form a sheet, and the sheet is dried.

Divulgation d'un procédé amélioré pour produire du papier comprenant : la formation d'une pâte à papier aqueuse, cellulosique; et l'addition d'un mélange de polymères en dispersion, solubles dans l'eau, et d'un agent coagulant la pâte, afin d'accroître la rétention et/ou le drainage. Après addition des polymères, la pâte est drainée afin de former une feuille qui est ensuite séchée.
