The present invention is directed to a method for detecting colorectal adenoma and/o( colorectal carcinoma comprising the steps: a) providing an isolated sample material which has been taken from an individual, b) determining the level of C3a or a derivative thereof in said isolated sample material, c) comparing the determined level of C3a or a derivative thereof with one or more reference values. The invention is further directed to a method for discriminating between colorectal adenoma and colorectal carcinoma as well as to a method for monitoring the course of colorectal adenoma and/or colorectal carcinoma and/or the treatment of colorectal adenoma and/or' colorectal carcinoma. Moreover, the invention is directed to a test system and an array for use in these methods. Furthermore, the invention is directed to the use of C3a as a biomarker for a detection of colorectal adenoma and/or colorectal carcinoma in an individual. Further, the invention is directed to method for determining whether a compound is effective in the treatment colorectal adenoma and/or colorectal carcinoma.
La présente invention concerne un procédé servant à détecter un adénome colorectal et/ou un carcinome colorectal comprenant les étapes consistant à : a) obtenir une matière d'échantillon isolée qui a été prélevée chez un individu, b) déterminer le niveau de l'anaphylatoxine C3a ou du dérivé de celle-ci dans ladite matière d'échantillon isolée, c) comparer le niveau de C3a ou d'un dérivé de celle-ci ainsi déterminé à une ou plusieurs valeurs de référence. L'invention concerne en plus un procédé servant à faire la différence entre un adénome colorectal et un carcinome colorectal ainsi qu'un procédé servant à suivre le développement d'un adénome colorectal et/ou d'un carcinome colorectal et/ou le traitement d'un adénome colorectal et/ou d'un carcinome colorectal. En plus, l'invention concerne un système de test et un tableau à utiliser dans ces procédés. En outre, l'invention concerne l'utilisation de C3a comme biomarqueur pour la détection d'un adénome colorectal et/ou d'un carcinome colorectal chez un individu. De plus, l'invention concerne un procédé servant à déterminer si un composé est efficace dans le traitement d'un adénome colorectal et/ou d'un carcinome colorectal.
