Contact lens care cleaning compositions comprising carbon dioxide and carbonic acid as cleansing agents are disclosed. The compositions do not require abrasive agents such as polymeric beads, nor ocularly irritating agents such as enzymes or surfactants in order to clean proteinaceous and nonproteinaceous deposits effectively from the surface of contact lenses. Also disclosed is a one-step cleaning and desinfecting regimen, whereby an effervescent tablet composition capable of generating carbon dioxide and carbonic acid is dissolved in a desinfecting solution or rinsing/desinfecting/storage solution.
La présente invention concerne des compositions de nettoyage de lentilles de contact qui comprennent du dioxyde de carbone et de l'acide carbonique comme agents nettoyants. Les compositions de l'invention permettent d'éliminer efficacement de la surface des lentilles de contact les dépôts protéiniques et non protéiniques, tout en nécessitant pas d'agents d'abrasion tels que des perles polymères, ni d'agents pouvant provoquer des irritations oculaires tels des enzymes ou des tensio-actifs. L'invention se rapporte également à un schéma de nettoyage et désinfection en une étape, selon lequel on dissout une composition de comprimé effervescent capable de produire du dioxyde de carbone et de l'acide carbonique dans une solution désinfectante ou dans une solution de rinçage/désinfection/stockage.
