- ? - HOE 89/F 322 ABSTRACT Use of crosslinked polymer microparticles in paints as filler substitute and/or as crosslinking filler The invention relates to the use of crosslinked polymer microparticles having an average particle size of at most 5 µm and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of at least +30°C in aqueous paint preparations as filler and/or as partial substitute of white pigments, in particular of titanium dioxide. Among other things, the corresponding paints show increased spreading power, less tendency for sedimenta- tion and reduced crater formation.
