The present invention pertains to the use of essential fatty acids for the preparation of a food composition for treating in particular post-surgical pain and/or pain due to a post- surgical relapse in women having undergone an operation for endometriosis. Said essential fatty acids are preferably selected from the group consisting of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids of the omega-3 series, and in particular from the group comprising EPA and/or DHA.
La présente invention porte sur l'utilisation d'acides gras essentiels pour la préparation d'une composition alimentaire pour le traitement, en particulier, d'une douleur post-chirurgicale et/ou d'une douleur due à une rechute post-chirurgicale chez des femmes ayant subi une opération pour l'endométriose. Lesdits acides gras essentiels sont de préférence choisis dans le groupe constitué par les acides gras polyinsaturés à longue chaîne de la série des oméga-3, en particulier dans le groupe incluant l'EPA et/ou le DHA.
