The invention relates to the use of Ginkgo biloba extracts and, in particular, Ginkgo biloba extracts comprising between 20 and 30 % flavoneglycosides, between 2.5 and 4.5 % in total of ginkgolides A, B, C and J, between 2 and 4 % bilobalide, less than 10 % proanthocyanidins and less than 10 ppm alkylphenol-type compounds, in order to prepare a medicament that is intended to promote muscle mass to the detriment of fatty mass in patients looking to loose or gain weight by means of a diet and/or medical treatment.
L'invention concerne 1'utilisation d'extraits de Ginkgo biloba, et en particulier d'extraits de Ginkgo biloba comprenant de 20 à 30 % de flavoneglycosides, de 2,5 á 4,5 % au total de ginkgolides A, B, C et J, de 2 à 4 % de bilobalide, moins de 10 % de proanthocyanidines et moins de 10 ppm de composés de type alkylphénols, pour préparer un médicament destiné à favoriser la masse musculaire au détriment de la masse graisseuse chez des patients cherchant à perdre ou à gagner du poids au moyen d'un régime et/ou d'un traitement médical.
