The present invention relates to adjuvants of the glycolipid type and their uses in pharmaceutical compositions, like in vaccines. In particular, the present invention provides new uses of compounds useful as adjuvants for prophylactic and/or therapeutic vaccination in the treatment of infectious diseases, inflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases, tumours and allergies. The compounds are particularly useful not only as systemic, but preferably as mucosal adjuvants.

L'invention concerne des adjuvants du type glycolipide et leurs utilisations dans des compositions pharmaceutiques, par exemple, dans des vaccins. En particulier, l'invention concerne de nouvelles utilisations de composés employés comme adjuvants pour la vaccination prophylactique et/ou thérapeutique pour le traitement de maladies infectieuses, de maladies inflammatoires, de maladies auto-immunes, de tumeurs et d'allergies. Les composés sont particulièrement utiles non seulement en tant qu'adjuvants systémique mais, de préférence, en tant qu'adjuvants pour les muqueuses.
