Disclosed is a solid support having a thermostable biotin-binding protein attached thereto. Also disclosed is use of the solid support. Further disclosed is a technical field such as the purification, concentration, detection or capture of a substance bound to biotin by using a thermostable biotin-binding protein. The biotin-binding protein used in the solid support is thermostable, and is therefore useful for use in an assay system which is exposed to a temperature of 70°C of higher.
