The invention relates to heparinoid derivatives, containing a chelating agent that is covalently bound to the heparinoid and a paramagnetic metal cation from the series of transition metals Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Mo, Ru or lanthanides. Said derivatives are suitable for producing medicaments for therapeutic and also diagnostic purposes, for localising the administered dose and for monitoring the treatment success of diseases such as thrombosis and osteo-arthrosis.
