ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Emulsions of oil and water are resolved by contacting the emulsions with a heterocyclic ammonium polyamidoamine having pendant and/or backbone hetero- cyclic ammonium moieties, e.g., an adduct of (1) poly- amidoamine prepared from methyl methacrylate and ethylenediamine and (2) epichlorohydrin.
