The present invention relates to the use of inhibitors of dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DP IV) and of enzymes having the same substrate specifity (DP IV-analogous enzymatic activity) in combination with inhibitors of alanyl aminopeptidase (aminopeptidase N, APN) and of enzymes having the same substrate specifity (APN-analoguos enzymatic activity) for a more than additive to superadditive inhibition of the activation and proliferation (DNA synthesis) of human T lymphocytes and mononuclear cells and of the production of T H2 cytokines for a therapy and prevention of allergic reactions of the type I according to the Gell and Coombs classification and for a more than additive to superadditive inhibition of the activation, proliferation (DNA synthesis) of human epidermal and follicular keratinocytes and of keratinocytes of the transitional zone between the skin and the mucous membranes as well as for a therapy and prevention of dermatological diseases with follicular and epidermal hyperkeratoses and an enhanced proliferation of keratinocytes. The invention also relates to the use of inhibitors of dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DP IV) as well as of enzymes having the same substrate specifity (DP IV-analogous enzymatic activity) in combination with inhibitors of alanyl aminopeptidase (aminopeptidase N, APN) and of enzymes having the same substrate specifity (APN-analogous enzymatic activity), respectively, of X-Pro-aminopeptidase (aminopeptidase P, APP), of the "angiotensin-converting enzyme" (ACE) and/or of the prolyl oligopeptidase (POP, prolyl endopeptidase, PEP) for a more than additive to superadditive inhibition of activation, DNA synthesis and proliferation of human T lymphocytes and mononuclear cells for a therapy and prophylaxis of arteriosclerosis. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical preparations comprising more than one of said inhibitors of enzymes of the above group.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'inhibiteurs de la dipeptidylpeptidase IV (DP IV) ainsi que d'enzymes à spécificité de substrat identique (activité enzymatique analogue de DP IV) en combinaison avec des inhibiteurs de l'alanyl aminopeptidase (aminopeptidase N, APN) ou d'enzymes à spécificité de substrat identique (activité enzymatique analogue d'APN) pour l'inhibition additive à superadditive de l'activation et de la prolifération (synthèse d'ADN) de lymphocytes T ou de cellules mononucléées chez l'homme et de la production de cytokines T¿H2? pour le traitement et la prévention de réactions allergiques de type I selon la classification de Gell et Coombs et pour l'inhibition additive à superadditive de l'activation et de la prolifération (synthèse d'ADN) de kératinocytes folliculaires et épidermiques humains ainsi que de kératinocytes de la zone intermédiaire entre peau et muqueuse, ainsi que pour le traitement et la prévention d'affections dermatologiques à hyperkératoses folliculaires et épidermiques et à prolifération kératinocytaire renforcée. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation d'inhibiteurs de la dipeptidylpeptidase IV (DP IV) ainsi que d'enzymes à spécificité de substrat identique (activité enzymatique analogue de DP IV) en combinaison avec des inhibiteurs de l'alanyl aminopeptidase (aminopeptidase N, APN) ou d'enzymes à spécificité de substrat identique (activité enzymatique analogue d'APN), de la X-pro-aminopeptidase (aminopeptidase P, APP), de l'enzyme convertissant l'angiotensine (ACE) ou de la prolyloligopeptidase (POP, prolylendopeptidase, PEP) pour l'inhibition additive à superadditive de l'activation, de la synthèse d'ADN et de la prolifération de lymphocytes T ou de cellules mononucléées chez l'homme pour le traitement et la prophylaxie de l'artériosclérose. L'invention concerne en outre des préparations pharmaceutiques comprenant plusieurs inhibiteurs d'enzymes des groupes susmentionnés.
