ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Transition-metal complexes of hydrazone derivatives of the formula I Image wherein A and B independently of one another are isocylic or heter- ocyclic aromatic radicals, and D is hydrogen, and, if B is a phenyl or naphthyl group, D is hydrogen, or a carbonyl group which, together with the structural element -N-CO-B from formula I forms a phthalimide or naphthalimide group, are used for pigmenting high molecular weight organic materials. Typical metals are nickel and copper, and typical organic materials are cellulose ethers and esters, natural and synthetic resins, alkyd resins, polyolefins, acrylic polymers, rubbers, silicones and silicone resins. These pigments in addition to providing colour also stabilise the pigmented material against the effects of light and weather.
