Use of inhalable nitric oxide (NO) in combination with a superoxide anion scavenger for the manufacture of a medicament for treating airway constriction in a mammal, especially man, said combination being used in a therapeutically effective amount to accomplish relaxation of said airway constriction. A method and a pharmaceutical preparation for the treatment of airway constriction while using the above-mentioned combination.
