The present invention provides a process for identifying compounds which bind to a specific target molecule. The process comprises the steps of: a) generating a first T2- or diffusion-filtered proton spectrum of one or a mixture of chemical compounds; b) exposing one or a mixture of chemical compounds to the target molecule; c) generating a second T2- or diffusion- filtered proton spectrum of one or a mixture of chemical compounds that has been exposed to the target molecule in step (b); and d) comparing said first and second T2- or diffusion-filtered proton spectra to determine differences between said first and said second spectra, the differences identifying the presence of one or more compounds that are ligands which have bound to the target molecule.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour identifier des composés qui se lient à une biomolécule cible déterminée. Le procédé consiste: a) à créer un premier spectre de protons, filtré par diffusion ou en T¿2?, d'un composé chimique ou d'un mélange de composés chimiques; b) à exposer un composé chimique ou un mélange de composés chimiques à la molécule cible; c) à créer un second spectre de protons, filtré par diffusion ou en T¿2?, d'un composé chimique ou d'un mélange de composés chimiques exposé à la molécule cible au stade b) et; d) à comparer les premier et second spectres de protons, filtrés par diffusion ou en T¿2?, en vue de déterminer les différences entre ces premier et second spectres, ces différences identifiant la présence d'un ou de plusieurs composés qui sont des ligands s'étant liés à la molécule cible.
