The invention concerns the use of a retinal pericyte apoptosis inhibitor for preparing a medicine useful for preventing or treating diabetic retinopathy. More particularly, the invention concerns the use of a compound selected among: an antioxidant, a compound inhibiting the production of ceramides and/or of DAG, an acid sphingomyelinase inhibitor, a C phosphatidylcholin-phospholipase inhibitor, a caspase inhibitor, or a mixture of at least two thereof for preparing a medicine useful for preventing or treating diabetic retinopathy.
L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'un inhibiteur de l'apoptose des péricytes rétiniens pour la préparation d'un médicament utile pour prévenir ou traiter la rétinopathie diabétique. L'invention concerne plus particulièrement l'utilisation d'un composé choisi parmi: un anti-oxydant, un composé inhibiteur de la production des céramides et/ou des DAG, un inhibiteur de la sphingomyélinase acide, un inhibiteur de la phosphatidylcholine-phospholipase C, un inhibiteur de caspase, ou d'un mélange d'au moins deux de ceux-ci pour la préparation d'un médicament utile pour prévenir ou traiter la rétinopathie diabétique.
