The invention relates to the use of polyacrylic acids which contain organic terminal groups containing sulphur, comprising at least two carbon atoms, having an average molecular weight Mwof 5 000 - 30 000 g/mol and which are at least partially neutralised by a base which is selected from the group of alkali hydroxides and ammonia as auxiliary agents for wet grinding of calcium carbonate. The invention also relates to fine particle aqueous suspensions of calcium carbonate which are produced by wet grinding of calcium carbonate in the presence of said polyacrylic acids.

Utilisation d'acides polyacryliques qui contiennent au moins deux groupes terminaux organiques contenant du soufre et possédant au moins deux atomes de carbone, qui possèdent un poids moléculaire moyen M¿w? de 5 000 à 30.000 g/mol et qui sont neutralisés au moins partiellement par une base choisie dans le groupe des hydroxydes de métal alcalin et de l'ammoniac, en tant qu'adjuvants pour le broyage humide de carbonate de calcium, et suspensions aqueuses à fines particules de carbonate de calcium qui sont préparées par broyage humide de carbonate de calcium en présence desdits acides polyacryliques.
