The present invention relates to a method for reducing adhesions associated with post-operative surgery. The present method comprises administering or affixing a polymeric composition preferably comprising chain extended, coupled or crosslinked polyester/poly(oxyalkylene) ABA triblocks or AB diblocks having favourable EO/LA ratios to a site in the body which has been subjected to trauma, e.g. by surgery, excision or inflammatory disease. In the present invention, the polymeric material provides a barrier to prevent or reduce the extent of adhesions forming.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de réduction des adhérences associées à la chirurgie postopératoire. Le présent procédé comprend l'administration ou l'appposition d'une composition polymérique comprenant de préférence des triblocs ABA ou des diblocs AB de polyester/poly(oxyalkylène) à chaîne allongée, couplés ou réticulés, avec des ratios EO/LA favorables à un endroit du corps ayant subi un trauma, suite par exemple à une opération chirurgicale, une excision ou une maladie inflammatoire. La matière polymérique selon la présente invention fournit une barrière permettant d'empêcher ou de réduire la formation d'adhérences.
