A method of lowering plasma levels of Lp(a) or inhibiting the generation of apo(a) in a human by administering an effective amount of a compound of general formula (I), wherein n is 0, 1 or 2; R1 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkanoyl, cycloalkanoyl, (alkoxy)alkanoyl, aroyl, aryloxycarbonyl; R2 is hydrogen, hydroxy, halo, alkoxy, alkanoyloxy, cycloalkanoyloxy, (alkoxy)alkanoyloxy, aroyloxy, or aryloxycarbonyloxy; R3 is pyrrolidinyl or piperidinyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, is disclosed.
L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à abaisser les taux plasmatiques de lipoprotéine A ou à inhiber la production d'apolipoprotéine A chez l'homme, par administration d'une dose efficace d'un composé de la formule (I), ou d'un sel de celui-ci, acceptable sur le plan pharmacologique. Dans cette formule, n vaut 0, 1 ou 2, R?1¿ représente hydrogène, alkyle, alcanoyle, cycloalcanoyle, (alcoxy)alcanoyle, aroyle, aryloxycarbonyle, R?2¿ représente hydrogène, hydroxy, halo, alcoxy, alcanoyloxy, cycloalcanoyloxy, (alcoxy)alcanoyloxy, aroyloxy ou aryloxycarbonyloxy, R?3¿ représente pyrrolidinyle ou pipéridinyle.
