A flow sensing apparatus detects movement of a faucet (30) handle (40) of a faucet of a hot water container in order to detect flow from the hot water container. A reed switch (34) and an associated magnet (36) can be mounted to detect open and closed positions of the faucet handle to provide electronic logic information regarding the status of the faucet handle position as an indication of a flow condition to a control unit that controls heating of water in the hot water container.

L'invention concerne un appareil de détection d'écoulement détectant un déplacement d'une poignée (40) de robinet (30) d'un robinet de récipient d'eau chaude afin de détecter un écoulement à partir du récipient d'eau chaude. Un commutateur à lames (34) et un aimant associé (36) peuvent être montés pour détecter les positions ouverte et fermée de la poignée de robinet pour fournir des informations électroniques logiques concernant l'état de la position de la poignée de robinet comme indication d'un état d'écoulement vers une unité de commande qui régule le chauffage de l'eau dans le récipient d'eau chaude.
