ABSTRACT Scent for air flowing through electrostatically charged filters has ingredients that are of a molecular weight between 100 and 300 and are either predominantly polar and aprotic or predominantly apolar and aprotic. Aprotic scents with a molecular weight between 100 and 300 are used for enrichment of air flowing through electrostatically charged filters of polypropylene, and apolar, aprotic scents with a molecular weight between 100 and 300 are used for enrichment of air flowing through electrostatically charged filters of polycarbonate.
